Renowned mountaineers Conrad Anker and Pete Athans hosted Portland’s North Face store opening with an inspiring video presentation. Showcasing the enterprising Sherpa climbing schools and cataract medical treatment centers of the Himalayas, the poignant show was given additional emotional impact by music from Rumblefish artists. The presentation’s message: world-class exploration is about giving back.
That’s what The North Face team did in Portland, Oregon. They asked Rumblefish to select songs from local artists that resonated with the adventurous, conscientious spirit they lived by. Rumblefish found songs that embodies this ethos and compiled them into a North Face-branded CD.
Everyone at the Portland store’s grand opening left with a back-pack containing Conrad's latest book and The North Face, Hear in Portland CD. It was a night to remember--exploring, giving…everybody wins.
